  • Mike
Mike is a tenor vocalist in Vocaleez and also plays jazz piano, guitar and bass guitar. A creative arranger (he arranges a lot of songs for Veez), Mike has also studied the finer points of singing and currently holds vocal judging accreditation for men’s barbershop. Mike has taught vocal technique to various choirs and other groups and is the talented tenor of this ensemble.
    Mitch
Borne from a fusion of Blues, Jazz and Folk background and son of German Jazz singer/drummer John Bruger.
Whilst holding the enviable position of token bald guy in the group, what he lacks in follicles is more than compensated for in his rich, edgy vocal timbre and highly emotive style of performing. His gift of engaging an audience is a key factor in that special appeal of every Vocaleez performance.
    Az
Az is the Bass powerhouse behind Vocaleez. A talented singer and director of the Blenders male barbershop chorus, Az’ sublime bass tones and vocal percussion add the oomph behind the ensemble.
    Brett
Brett was born in the 60s and wasted the sexual and cultural revolution on childhood. By the time I was adult, the world had AIDS and WHAM! A diet of rock and pop defined my musical tastes except for a brief flirtation with choral music at UNI. I didn’t discover a cappella singing till I was in my mid 30s and now I can’t imagine my life without it. Vocaleez is the latest drug of choice in my addiction. Lacking a formal music education, I make my three kids suffer in my place, which is what children are for of course, to suffer for their parents regrets. If you must throw your clothing onto the stage, please aim at the unattached members of the group in deference to my status as a family man.
    Chrisco
The journey of a musician, for most, starts from a young age and is filled with numerous instruments, lessons, scales, exams, recitals and a endless number of bands. The beginning of my journey was no different. However it’s not until you become a bit older and learn to have a greater appreciation of music until you are drawn towards the music and instruments you want to play rather than whatever instrument the nearest ensemble is lacking. Over the past decade my voice has been one of my instruments of choice leading me to the next step in my journey. Vocaleez, in just a short time Vocaleez has already taught me and given me so much and with over 100 years combined musical knowledge, I can already tell that this leg of my journey will be an exciting one!
